About Yi

Hellooo, I'm Yi! I started designing during my undergrad at UC San Diego, where I started designing at the Don Norman funded Design Lab. I worked on some projects with people living with diabetes. That experience opened my eyes to what user experience design truly means, understanding people’s lives and co-creating better ways to support them. I enjoy helping people through design and make impact.

I love what I’m doing, product design it lets me do what I love most - connect with people, observe how they interact with the world, and continuously iterate on ideas that make their experiences better.

When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me watching Morning Brew and Business Insider on Youtube, or journaling, or people watching around NYC.

I love working with people!

During my time @ UC San Diego, I was the student president of MASA (Multi-Asian Student Association).

One exciting event I led was organizing an Asian Night Market with our 18 team members. We hosted over 2,500 participants, 16 student organizations, and featured 6 dance teams!
